Why Panini became a symbol of the World Cup
In 1970, brothers Giuseppe and Benito Panini had a simple idea: bring the passion of Italian league football to a global event. That's how the first official World Cup album was born. Mexico 70 sold 27 million packs. What followed was one of the most impressive commercial stories in sports collecting.
